His cold is clearing up but the ACC still wants to kill him!!…..SWEET SNOW IS AN AFFECTIONATE AND FRIENDLY BOY BUT HIS WONDERFUL DISPOSITION WON’T BUY HIM FREEDOM TOMORROW! SNOW was dumped for his owner’s personal problems. He only about a year old – just a grown kitten. SNOW caught the shelter cold and now is going to die for it. He was AVERAGE rated for his friendly behavior and would love to be your new best friend. Hurry and adopt or foster this boy now by contacting a rescue to pull him to safety.

09/13/16 15:42 Upon intake Snow was very friendly and calm. He allowed all handling. Counselor was able to collar , scan and photogragh As per owner snow is a 1 yr old cat that is very friendly and affectionate. She has lived in the house with several chldren from infants to teen age, as well as a dog.She tolerates affection and petting and never shows any sign of aggression. Snow eats wet and dry food but preferes wet food. She uses an open litter box and does not have a preference of litter. Snow has never been outside so he has never been around other cats. He does scratch on the furniture occasionally. She has never scratched or bitten another person or animal.

09/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Snow lived previously with several children (infant to teenaged) and with a dog. He is reported to be tolerant with all of them. He is described as friendly and affectionate. He was calm and allowed all handling at intake. He was initially tolerant of medical restraint during her initial medical examination, but began growling after a time. Snow showed some conflicted behavior during his behavior evaluation, hissing but also soliciting attention. It is possible that he is overwhelmed or overstimulated by the shelter environment. Reaction to assessor: Snow is at the back of his cage. He hisses as the assessor approaches. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains in place, a bit tense. Reaction to touch: Snow leans into the assessor’s outstretched hand and appreciates petting on the cheeks and forehead. He looks up and hisses once more, but continues soliciting attention and interacting with the assessor. He approaches the front and rubs on the bars after the assessor has stepped away. Placement determination: Average Snow interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. He has no known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
