I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/08/2016 from NY 10023, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-080809.

11/25/16 S/O: BAR, very friendly, chirping, eating well. Normal stool in litterbox dried dark d/c ventral to eyes, otherwise open and comfortable amb x4, BCS 2.5/5 pink gums a little face shy- purring, but eupneic, unable to ascult cardiac sounds d/t purring mild mucopurulent d/c from R nare A: URI mucopurulent d/c: r/o persistent URI, underlying unilateral tumor, other P: extend doxycyline 50mg/ml: 0.37ml PO SID x4 days off label gentamycin drops in nose SID x4 rec consider nasal culture, consider skull rads, skull CT, cbc/chem/UA/fecal OPG as general health screen prognosis: fair 11/21/16 18:00 s/o: eating well heavy nasal d/c (purulent) some black crusty eye d/c did not asucult a: felv. uri p: continue therapy 11/20/16 Pt is currently eating voraciously. Audibly congested. 11/08/16 13:40 Basic Information Saffrie is an approximate 1 year old female domestic short hair. She was living in an abandon building. Finder stated there may have been people living there but was not taking care of the pet. Saffrie looked very sick. Finder decided it was best that the cat be brought here. Finder stated Saffrie tolerated all handling. He was able to pick her up and place her in a carrier. No signs of aggression were displayed while under the care of the finder. Behavior during Intake Saffrie tolerated all handling. No signs of aggression were displayed during the intake procedure.

Reaction to assessor: Saffrie looks neutral, lying down on her cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Saffrie sits up in place, alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: Saffrie seems hesitant at first, but began to slowly lean into the assessor’s hand and appreciates the petting. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Average Saffrie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
