Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Meserole and at the time his was his cage was rearranged due to stress. Meserole was hiding under bogus paper and flinches when touched. Meserole lip licks and faces the wall. Reaction to assessor: Meserole was hiding when I approach cage When spoken quietly: Meserole continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: Mesrole becomes stiff, alert Reaction to touch: Meserole tries to flee and does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: Did not attempt to pick the cat up due to fractious behavior. Behavior Determination: NewHope Meserole seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to flee and is extremely fearful. Meserole currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
