I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/26/2016 from NY 10472, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

10/26/16 15:29 BASIC INFO Menji A1094823 is a domestic shorthair cat. He is being surrendered to the shelter because he was found as a stray. Finder cannot keep. Finder placed Menji in a carrier and brought him to ACCNYC. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Menji allowed photos, but hissed once inside kennel.

Reaction to assessor: Menji looks neutral, lying down on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Menji remains in place, relaxed body posture, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Menji leans into the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Menji interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
