**SAFE 04/21/16** STUNNING SMOKEY GRAY KITTY JADEA WAS TRAPPED AND DUMPED IN THE SHELTER WITH ANOTHER CAT – NOW SHE WILL DIE EVEN THOUGH SHE IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY!! JADEA was brought into the shelter in a trap along with another cat named MISTY A1070285 whose status is unknown after making an appearance on the euth list. Now it’s JADEA’s turn and this beautifyl charcoal gray girl is sadly doomed to die unless someone will give her a chance. JADEA did allow petting on her assessment but she was tense and nervous which got her punished with an EXPNOCHILD rating. These ratings are so unfair sometimes because they have no bearing whatsoever on how a cat would behave in a loving home. JADEA may be a lost pet as she is 7 years old and looks great. She only needs ONE person to seriously step up for her and contact a rescue to pull her to safety. FOR RESCUE INFO PLEASE EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] – DON’T LET JADEA BECOME ANOTHER NUMBER IN THE ACC’S STATISTIC FILE. SAVE HER NOW!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jadea was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The enrichment facilitator has been monitoring Jadea and reports that she didn’t allow contact and would hiss and attempt to flee when she first arrived. Reaction to assessor: Jadea is curled up in her litter box at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jadea remains motionless and slow blinks at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Jadea flinches and lowers her body into the litter box. Reaction to touch: Jadea allows petting and has a tense body. She lowers her body and turns her head towards the wall. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Jadea tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
