***SAFE 11/01/16*** FRIES WANTS TO BE YOUR “SIDE ORDER” TONIGHT – PLEASE HURRY AND SAVE HIM BY NOON !! FRIES is the last of 4 cats who came into the shelter together. Lucky for the other three, they are all SAFE. But now, FRIES is facing the same fate at noon. He is only about a year old, and really handsome!! FRIES allowed all handling and petting but because he is nervous he was given an EXPERIENCE rating. Sadly, he has the kitty cold, and for that reason, the ACC wants to kill him tomorrow. YOU CAN SAVE THIS BOY NOW BY CONTACTING A RESCUE TO OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT! MAKE FRIES YOUR NEW SIDEKICK TONIGHT!!

10/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Fries was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Fries was curled up and lying down on her blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Fries makes eye contact with the assessor but doesn’t seem interested and doesn’t come forward. Reaction to cage door opening: Fries remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Fries is hesitant when the assessor extends his hand out and lip licks when close. He closes his eyes when touched but slowly leans in when rubbed on his cheeks. His body slowly relaxes and he raises his back when pet along his body. He builds up confidence, takes a few steps forward, leans in and appreciates attention. Reaction to being picked up: Fries is a bit tense when picked up, looks around wary of his surroundings then leaps back and retreats into his litter box. Behavior Determination: Experience Fries may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
