I am a female gray tabby and gray domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 7 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 10/14/2016 from NY 11229, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-077930.

10/31/16 Sneezing noted on rounds. O: BAR, eating well, active. EENT: Sneezing, clear nasal discharge. Mild serous ocular discharge. A: URI. P: Rx Doxycycline 50 mg/ml. 0.6 ml Po q 24 hours x 10 days. Excellent prognosis.

10/14/16 14:20 Basic Information Blue was brought in as a owner surrender with 3 other kittens. Due to moving owner could not keep them. She is 6 month old all black tabby unaltered. There is no known health or injuries that the owner knows of. Socialization Around strangers she is friendly and outgoing by rubbing against their legs and wants to be pet. She has lived with a 10 year old child and a 10 month old child. Around the children, she is relaxed and affectionate. She plays well with adults by gently pawing and playing with any toys in front of her. She rubs against the children hands and is gentle playing. She has lived with 3 other kittens and a one year old cat. They all play together and are very relaxed around each other. She rolls around with the other kittens. She has never been around a dog. There is no bite history of a person or animal. Behavior The owner has no behavior concerns and stated she is well behaved. She has only been in the car once and was sleeping the whole time. She has never had a litterbox problem. The owner has never given her a bath or trimmed her nails. She enjoys brushing of the coat and being held. She is afraid of the carrier but just pushed his back. She isn’t bothered when asleep. For the new family to know The owner described her as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, confident, and quiet. Her activity level is medium. When owner is home, she follows you around. She likes strings, wand toys, catnip toys, and laser pointers. She has mostly been indoors and eats wet/ dry food ( Friskies). She is litter boxed trained using an uncovered box with clumping litter. She scratched on vertical scratching post made out of fabric. Behavior upon intake. Counselor was able to pick up and put into carrier. Body language was relaxed. Counselor was able to collar and take intake photo.

Per her previous owner, Blue is friendly and outgoing around strangers, rubbing against their legs and wants to be pet. She has lived with a 10-year-old and a 10-month-old. Around the children, she is relaxed and affectionate. She plays well with adults by gently pawing and playing with any toys in front of her. She rubs against the children hands and is gentle playing. She has lived with three other kittens and a one-year-old cat. They all play together and are very relaxed around each other. She rolls around with the other kittens. She has never been around a dog. At intake, the counselor reports she was calm and easy to handle. Reaction to assessor: Blue was sleeping in rear of cage, relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Blue remained sleeping. Reaction to cage door opening: Luna sits up, somewhat tense. Reaction to touch: Blue allows petting all over, but body is tense. Reaction to pick-up: Blue was reluctant to be picked up, body was tense and stayed at rear of kennel to avoid this attention. Once picked up, she remains tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Blue is tolerant of attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may need time to warm up in her new home. We recommend this cat go to an experienced home.
