Cerulean came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, kitten was nervous and attempted to flee. Reaction to assessor: Cerulean is at the back of the cage, hiding behind the litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cerulean is pressed against the cage back. Reaction to cage door opening: Cerulean remains stiff, tense. Reaction to touch: Cerulean is tolerant of petting but remains tense. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Cerulean does not approach the assessor, appears nervous, and is tolerant of limited handling. Cerulean is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can allow the kitten appropriate adjustment time to a new home environment.
