***SAFE 08/19/16*** ANOTHER CHANCE FOR MARVELOUS MARTY WHO REALLY NEEDS A SAVIOR TONIGHT!! Poor Marty is wondering what is going on. This young guy was brought into ACC as a stray and understandably his new surroundings are making him nervous. But, during his behavior evaluation, the assessor was able to pet him after a slow approach. Marty needs a nice quiet home where he can decompress and learn to love again. Let’s work to get Marty the home he deserves. Don’t let this guy down!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Marty looks at the assessor nervously from the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Marty continue to watch the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Marty backs away slowly Reaction to touch: Marty becomes very tense but allows petting Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Children Marty was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. We recommend that this cat goes to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
