HOOK – A1091726
Gone - 10-13-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 10/13/16*** HOOK AND SCAR WERE BROUGHT IN TOGETHER…THEY WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO LEAVE THE SAME WAY! HOOK is a 2 year old guy with a terrific, AVERAGE RATING! SCAR is a 6 month old little girl who will need someone experienced, particularly with behavior arousal. She seems to get overstimulated and can easily be remedied by a fishing pole type play that will work on that type of behavior. BOTH need a FOSTER OR ADOPTER! If you can take both that would be awesome! But at the very least, think about saving at least one!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Hook was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was hissing and growling upon intake, and did not allow the counselors to handle her. However, he did allow handling during his initial medical exam, although he was tense and nervous. Reaction to assessor: Hook was resting upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Hook wakes, rolls onto his side, and starts to knead. Reaction to cage door opening: Hook slowly retreats to the back and lip licks. Reaction to touch: Hook was hesitant of contact and attempts to shift away to avoid touch. He allows petting with a slow approach and slowly warms up, arching his back and leaning in for rubs. He approaches the front and would nuzzle against the assessor, kneading in place. Reaction to pick up: Hook was tense during pick up, but remains calm when held. Behavior Determination: Average Hook interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. He may need time to warm up to his new home, but he is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with an average amount of experience.
