SCAR – A1091727
Gone - 10-13-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 10/13/16*** HOOK AND SCAR WERE BROUGHT IN TOGETHER…THEY WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO LEAVE THE SAME WAY! HOOK is a 2 year old guy with a terrific, AVERAGE RATING! SCAR is a 6 month old little girl who will need someone experienced, particularly with behavior arousal. She seems to get overstimulated and can easily be remedied by a fishing pole type play that will work on that type of behavior. BOTH need a FOSTER OR ADOPTER! If you can take both that would be awesome! But at the very least, think about saving at least one!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Scar was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was hissing and growling upon intake, and did not allow the counselors to handle her. However, she did allow limited handling during her initial medical exam, but also tried to flee. Reaction to assessor: Scar was lying down, calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Scar looks around briefly, and then starts to eat. Reaction to cage door opening: Scar remains motionless and looks around again. Reaction to touch: Scar head-butts, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. Her tail sways from side to side and she nips the assessor’s hand once, but she continues to solicit attention afterwards and will rub against the assessor, purring. Reaction to pick up: Scar remains calm during pick up, but wiggles to get back down when held. Behavior Determination: Experienced Scar is social and affectionate but appears to be easily overstimulated. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Scar becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
