***SAFE 03/21/16 ***YOSEMITE is just 3 years old,but has more life to live if someone will give him a chance. He has a swollen and wounded right hind limb. He’s also FIV positive. FIV kitties can live a long life! They can also live among non-FIV cats. This one, just needs someone with a big heart and even a small space, to give him a great rest of his long life! AVERAGE rated and all, this guy needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to step up and save him! Can it be you? YOSEMITE thinks so!

03/20/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Yosemite was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He allowed handling upon intake, but also tried to flee. He became very nervous during his initial medical exam and became defensive. The enrichment facilitator reports he didn’t seem very interested in interacting, but he appreciated treats when offered. Please note that this cat has a severe medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. Reaction to assessor: Yosemite was lying down by the front and was calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Yosemite rolls over and places his head on his paws to rest. Reaction to cage door opening: Yosemite remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Yosemite leans slightly into petting, gets up, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Yosemite remains calm and purrs when held. Behavior Determination: Average Yosemite interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
