I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/20/2016 from NY 11228, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-082039.

11/20/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/20/16 10:32 Finder stated that Wilma allowed to be picked up and placed into a carrier without any issues. Finder did state that Wilma is nervous at first and will hiss and spit but once you pet her, she calms down. Behavior during intake: Wilma was nervous and had a stiff body. I was able to scan for a mc, collar and take a picture without any issues. WIlma was hissing and growling during intake but once I started to pet her, her body became soft and relaxed.

Wilma came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Wilma was hissing but allowed handling. Reaction to assessor: Wilma is lying flat, mid-cage, body tense. Reaction when softly spoken to: Wilma hisses at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Wilma spits, ears flat. Reaction to touch: Wilma strikes at the assessor and avoids handling. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Wilma does not approach the assessor, appears nervous, and avoids handling. Wilma is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners who can find appropriate placement for her.
