*** SAFE 07/25/16 *** TWO YEAR OLD….TOO ACTIVE?? HMM, SOMETHING STRANGE THERE….A volunteer writes: Willow has the most unusual markings, almost like those of a leopard. Fortunately this sweet tabby he has none of a leopard’s wild traits. Willow is a mellow, easygoing, well behaved 2-year-old who belongs on a living room couch or sunny windowsill, not the Serengeti. When he’s not power napping, he’s greeting his volunteer friends with soft sniffs and gentle head butts. It’s no surprise that his former owner told us Willow is friendly, outgoing, relaxed, and affectionate. He wasn’t a fan of the small dog in the house, but he sure is a fan of humans. 07/14/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/14/16 18:12 Due to client only keeping Willow for a few days, 6/21/16 profile was used with minor add-ins: Basic Info: Willow A1078311 is a 2yr old neutered male marble striped brown tabby DSH feline who was given to the owner from a neighbor 8months ago & is being surrendered due to pet conflict. Willow hasn’t been seen by a veterinarian since he was neutered (unknown how long ago the procedure was done) and he currently has no known health issues. Socialization: Around strangers Willow is friendly/outgoing. Grandchildren would visit but due to the owner being afraid Willow would scratch/bite them he was kept separate. Willow was gentle, relaxed & affectionate with the adult in the home. He lived with a small breed dog that gave birth recently but he would scratch (the scratch did not break skin or bleed), swat & sometimes hiss at her. Willow hasn’t bitten but has scratched a person a couple of days ago (did not break skin or bleed) when he became a little too excited as they were petting him. Behavior: Willow isn’t bothered by the following: being brushed, being picked up held or with being placed into a carrier. He hasn’t been given a bath, had his nails trimmed, or been disturbed while sleeping/resting. For a New Family to Know: Willow is described as friendly (at times), playful, confident & talkative with a medium-high activity level. When the owner is home Willow follows them around sometimes. He enjoys ball toys and is an indoor only cat that sleeps around the home. Willow eats dry & wet Friskies 1-2x a day. Adopter fed Willow Scinece diet in both wet and dry food. He is uncovered litter box trained with clumping litter within. Willow scratches on items in the home.
