GONE 9/17/16 Trixie’s hind legs were both broken when she was hit by a car. She does not have use of her legs right now. She needs follow up vet care.

GU-F, no mgts, no vaginal d/c
MSI-BCS 3/5, amb x 2, no motor in hindlegs, abrasions over cranial aspect of hindlimbs bilaterally, otherwise ok haircoat
Neuro-BAR, normal cranial nerves, amb x 2, no motor or deep pain in hindlimbs bilaterally, no tail or anal tone
A-2 yo F DSH
1. hindlimb paralysis with abrasions
P-discuss with NH about placement given patient’s clinical status. If no placement by 6 PM today, recommend EHR
buprenorphine S/R 3 mg/ml-0.1 ml SQ every 72 hours

Sex: intact female
Age: appx 1y
Mentation: BAR, slight dehydration (prolonged turgor)
Eyes: clear
Ears: clean
Nose: no d/c
Teeth: young, no staining
If abnormal BCS: WNL
Skin: “road rash” abraded areas across stifles, not bleeding, partial degloving with no pockets felt
Hair Coat: WNL
Declawed: no
Any injuries: reported hbc; torque to hind limbs (pelvis fracture?) and no response to deep toe pinch or tail pinch, cool to touch; no anal tone presently; no seeming bladder control as (normal yellow) urine flows freely from cat; dense bruising on abdomen and doughy feel with hard masses palpable within; cat does not act painful and is stable otherwise (mm pink, crt <2s, hr/rr WNL)
Behavior: allows all handling but not an “indoor cat” so cautious
Medication: DVM rec butorphanol (0.5mg/kg or 0.12ml) for comfort with rads in a.m.–group was interested in cat pending DVM evaluation
