12/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tabb was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Tabb comes forward with her tail erect to greet the assessor then rolls over on her side. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tabb reaches out with paws towards the assessor then gently head butts the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Tabb is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tabb sniffs the assessor’s hand, allows petting along her body and appreciates attention. After a few soft passes along her body her ears flatten then she becomes focused on the assessor’s hand. She whips around quickly and nips with a medium amount of pressure. Reaction to being picked up: Tabb backs away and whips around when the assessor attempts to pick her up. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Tabb tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
