Susie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Susie was at the back of the kennel with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Susie lowers his head and slowly inches forward towards the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Susie remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Susie lowers his head as you approach and is hesitant of contact. He slowly relaxes when pet along his body, gains confidence and comes forward slowly. Susie rubs up against the assessor for more attention and rolls around playfully. Reaction to being picked up: Susie was a bit tense when held but relaxes slowly when held and lightly rubs up against the assessor’s hand. Behavior Determination: Average Susie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
