Medical Summary 1/23/17 Sex: Male intact, cryptorchid Scan: Negative Estimated age: 3-5 years based on dentition and facial characteristics Fleas: Some flea dirt. S: Alert, mews, allows handling. Scratching at ears. O: BAR-H, BCS 5/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: Moderate brown discharge AU. Large (2 cm wide, 3-5 cm long) superficial ulcerations caudal to each ear – bloody exudate. No discharge OU, nose. Clean teeth. H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. No skin lesions noted. Feces on left hip. UG: Male intact, cryptorchid – only one testicle palpable. A: 1. Ear mites and secondary wounds to head 2. Cryptorchid Short-term prognosis: Good P: 1. Clean ears today, treat with Tresaderm BID x10 days, clean ears q3 days (clean ears and apply Tresaderm today during exam) 2. E-collar always, SSD to wounds BID x5 days (first application during today’s exam), reassess in 5 days 3. Recommend neuter 1088
