SNICKERS aka SNICKERDODLE – A1062814
Safe - 1-29-2016 Manhattan
**SAFE 01/29/16** Lived with DOGS, CATS, and has outstanding volunteer comments! “A volunteer wrote: What’s the best dessert? If you said “Snickerdoodle,” then allow me to introduce myself–I’m Snickerdoodle the cat, and I’m looking for a chance to be your new best friend. I love spending time with my human friends, getting petted, and I dream of finding a real, furever home where I can be a furry companion. Will you consider helping me?” Snickerdoodle is all that and a bag of chips, and this great guy needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to save his life tonight!

Another volunteer writes: Sweet Snickers has come such a long way since his frightened arrival at ACC and he’s blossomed into an affectionate, calm and happy cat anyone would be lucky to call their own. Where initially he’d stay scrunched up at the back of his cage, now I have a hard time to keep him from nudging his way right out the door! He makes the cutest meows to say hello, nuzzles his head deep into my hand, loves under-chin scratches and is curious and eager to investigate the world. Don’t let a little cold spell the end for this handsome boy, adopt delicious Snickers today!
01/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Snickerdodle looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Snickerdodle remains crouched position, body held tightly, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Snickerdodle accepts the stroke, but remains cautious with sudden noises and lip licks in place. However, after a few stroke he seems to relax a bit and began to slowly lean into the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience Snickerdodle tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
