11/20/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sisqo was brought in without information on her behavioral tendencies in her previous home. She lived in a home with many cats. She was fearful during her initial medical exam, but she allowed the medical team to conduct most handling. Reaction to assessor: Sisqo was crouched over and had squinted eyes. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sisqo makes eye contact with the assessor, but slowly lowers her gaze. Reaction to cage door opening: Sisqo becomes stiff and alert, but remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Sisqo was hesitant and attempts to shift away to avoid contact, but she will sniff the assessor’s hand with a slow approach. She squeezes her body against the back corner and looks around for an exit, but tolerates gentle petting along her head and body. Behavior Determination: Experienced, No Children Sisqo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
