Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Shakespeare was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He attempted to flee from the finder, but allowed them to pick him up. He was very nervous during his initial medical exam and did not want to get out of the carrier. He allowed all handling, but wanted to get away after a certain point. Reaction to assessor: Shakespeare was calm and relaxed, lying down upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Shakespeare meows softly, comes to the front, and reaches out gently with his paws. Reaction to cage door opening: Shakespeare remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Shakespeare’s tail begins to quiver and he accepts petting on his head and body. He looks around at his surroundings, but seems to appreciate attention. Reaction to being picked up: Shakespeare remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Shakespeare interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
