Cordelia was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He attempted to flee from the finder, but allowed them to pick him up. He also allowed all handling during his initial medical exam. Reaction to assessor: Cordelia was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cordelia meows and looks around at his surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Cordelia remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Cordelia was a bit hesitant, but he head-butts lightly and begins to purr. He leans in for petting and rubs his cheeks against the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Cordelia remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Cordelia interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
