**SAFE 05/12/16** SEAN PENN LOOKING TO STAR IN A HOME MOVIE WITH YOU–BE HIS HERO! Sean Penn is a six year old terrific, vision impaired, tabby who desperately needs us to advocate for his precious life tonight. He was found in a bodega. The finder noticed that he was blind and brought him home for the evening. He was very calm with her three resident cats, He would allow petting when the owner went slow. We are not sure why the finder decided to dump this fab, sad fella at the shelter rather than keep him or try to find him a loving home. He is calm, gentle and tolerates petting but may do best in a quiet home without kids. He is in dire need of a very special purrson who could give him lots of TLC. We are not sure if Sean Penn is totally blind but visually impaired kitties do just fine. Can you BE THE SOMEBODY who opens up their heart and home to offer this special boy a new “leash” on life by offering to foster or adopt? You can reserve SP online or contact a New Hope rescue. Transportation is available. Email our help desk for assistance–[email protected] and we will lead you through the easy peasy process

05/03/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Sean looks tense, crouched position at the back of the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Sean remains in place, body is held tightly, alert with eyes wandering. Reaction to touch: Sean accepts the stroke, but squints during the touch and shows no interest to touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Sean Penn tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
