***GONE 07/19/16 *** SEVEN KITTIES FROM A HOARDING CASE ARE SLATED TO DIE AT NOON TUESDAY. SIX OF THEM ARE FIV POSITIVE!! Yes, you heard that right. SEVEN housemates, NINA, ALEX, GIN, DJ, SANDY, CASEY AND GENE are a group who were brought in together from a house with too many pets. ALL of them are frightened and have been given an EXPNOCHILD rating and a trip to tonight’s euth list. Imagine how these cats must feel being taken from their home and family who is all they ever knew, even if it was in a home with many pets. Now they all sit in individual cages, alone, scared, and facing death. FIV cats CAN live with non-FIV cats without fear of being contageous. If you can find it in your heart tonight to foster or adopt one or more of this group, please email the help desk at [email protected] for rescue contact info. Transport is free if you use a rescue to adopt. These cats have done nothing wrong to deserve death, but if someone doesn’t step up for them by noon, they will most likely be the first group to be taken to the cold heartless euth room and killed. NINA, ALEX, GIN, DJ, SANDY, CASEY and GENE deserve a chance to live and have a happy ending to their story. PLEASE BE THEIR HERO TONIGHT!! DON’T WAIT – ACT NOW!!

07/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Sandy was sleeping at the front of the cage When spoken quietly: Sandy looks at the assessor calmly Reaction to door cage opening: Sandy remains motionless Reaction to touch: Sandy becomes tense, leans away from touch and eventually moves away Try picking cat up: Sandy is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Sandy was displaying fearful behavior and does not seek attention from the assessor. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
