Salt Lake was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She had a soft body and was calm upon intake. She allowed all handling throughout the intake process and during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Salt Lake was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Salt Lake looks at the assessor and meows. Reaction to cage door opening: Salt Lake remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Salt Lake gets up, leans into petting, and begins to purr. She meows randomly throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Salt Lake remains calm and allows handling. Placement Determination: Average Salt Lake interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
