***SAFE 08/22/16***2 SWEET SISTER KITTENS DESPERATELY IN NEED OF RESCUE! RODANA and RAMI are 2 adorable 13 week old kittens who were brought to the shelter because there were too many pets in the home. These sweeties were born in the home and lived with their mom and littermates. RODANA is a white and brown CUTIE who is friendly and playful! RAMI is a CUTE tortoiseshell who is affectionate and playful as well. RODANA and RAMI love being pet and picked up! These PRECIOUS BABIES who will be killed tomorrow if they aren’t rescued. Because they are so tiny (under 2 pounds each) they are only available through New Hope Rescue. Please contact [email protected] if you can foster these SWEET BABY KITTENS!

07/30/16 16:18 Rodana is a three month old white and gray tabby female domestic shorthair. She was surrendered by his owner due to owner having too many pets in the home. Rodana is described as friendly around strangers. She lived with her mother and littermates and is described as affectionate and playful. She has not been around dogs or children. Rodana was not bathed or brushed by owner. She has a medium activity level and owner stated she loves to play with her littermates. She is litterbox trained and had an uncovered litterbox and clumping litter. Upon intake Rodana was relaxed and allowed all handling. Counselor was able to collar and photograph.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Rodana is described as friendly around strangers. She lived with his mother and littermates. She was described as affectionate and playful towards them. Rodana has not been around dogs or children. Reaction to assessor: Rodana was sleeping with his siblings at the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Rodana continues to sleep Reaction to door cage opening: Rodana remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Rodana purrs while allowing petting and attention Try picking cat up: Rodana is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average Rodana was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, allows attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Rodana is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Patch of thin fur and erythematous skin dorsal to right eye. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Sneezing, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. Patch of thin fur and erythematous skin on cranial aspect of left stifle. UG: Female kitten Wood’s lamp – positive A: 1. URI 2. Ringworm Short-term prognosis: Good P: 1. Lime dip twice weekly 2. Recommend terbinafine 30 mg/kg PO SID x30 days 3. Doxycycline 0.15 ml PO SID x10 days 1088
