Poor REINA was abandoned at the shelter because her previous owner is moving to a place that doesn’t allow pets. This GORGEOUS KITTY will be killed tomorrow if she’s not rescued! REINA is young, playful and full of promise! She has been around children and has never showed any aggression. She followed her previous owner around and liked to keep her owner company. THIS CUDDLE GIRL head-butts a visitor at her cage, hoping she will find a home soon. WON’T YOU HELP SWEET REINA? She will make an amazing FURRY FRIEND!!!

7/13/16 17:26 Basic information: Reina is a 3 yr. old female domestic short hair mix. The owner surrendered Reina because she is moving to a place where pets are not allowed. Reina has no health problems and the owner has not taken her to a vet. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Reina is friendly and outgoing. Reina has lived with children between the ages of 4 and 6 years old however the owner says she does not like to interact with the children and will run and hide from them. She has never been around other animals so the owner has no idea how she would behave around them. Reina has never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Reina has never been bathed, had her nails trimmed orhad her coat brushed but does not mind being picked up and allows to be put in a cat carrier. For a new family to know: The owner describes Reina shy but friendly cat with a medium activity level. Reina has played with rubber ball and string cat toys; she lives mostly indoors and sleeps anywhere in the house that she wants. In the home Reina will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Reina eats Meow mix brand dry cat food and is fed 2 times a day. He is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Reina has never been given a scratching post so the owner does not know if she will use it or not. Behavior during intake: During intake Reina was somewhat tense with stiff body, she allowed us to scan (-) put on collar, photographed and placed in cat kennel.

The former owner stated that around strangers Reina is friendly and outgoing. Reina has lived with children between the ages of 4 and 6 years old however the owner says she does not like to interact with the children and will run and hide from them. She has never been around other animals so the owner has no idea how she would behave around them. Also, described Reina shy but friendly cat with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Reina immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Reina remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Reina head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Reina interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
