SAFE 4/21/18 — 10 year old RAVIOLI was brought in as a stray but owner was contacted and would like to reclaim, however due to their housing situation they are unable to do so immediately. RAVIOLI has a mass which may be a mammary mass or an abscess and needs medical eval and care immediately. She is being treated with antibiotics but needs a foster home asap. Please help this sweet kitty today.

History : stray found; o contacted and wants to reclaim but unable to do so due to housing situation. will be in contact with MACC regarding reclaiming.
Subjective / Observed Behavior – BAR, allows all handling. very friendly on exam.

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: fractured #104, 304. dc 1/5; pd 2/5.
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: intact female; 1.5inch ulcerated, malodorous with yellow discharge mass along the right cranial mammary gland chain. 0.5inch SQ mass along the caudal mammary chain.
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, mild seborrhea sicca.
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: grossly normal
Assessment
mammary gland masses – r/o neoplasia vs abscess
dental calculus
periodontal disease
fractured canines
seborrhea sicca
Prognosis:
guarded to poor.
Plan:
clindamycin
cleaned abscess with chlorhexidine solution
rec oncology consultation / work-up once reclaimed.
SURGERY:
Permanent waiver due to age.
