12/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Raider was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Raider was curled up in the back of the kennel with his head lowered. Reaction when softly spoken to: Raider remains immobile and lip licks with wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Raider remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Raider sniffs the assessor’s hand and stays immobile when touched on his head. He closes his eyes, lip licks and has a tense/ stiff body when pet along his body. He seems very uncomfortable and doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Raider tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
