*SAFE 3/16/18* PEBBLES was found in a hallway of a building where she had been living for about a week. She may have been abandoned. Her finder said she was vomiting and brought her to the shelter. Pebbles is underweight and needs further medical eval to see what is wrong.

Observed Behavior -initially docile and allowed gentle petting but became more fractious with handling and restraint and required freeman net to perform tech check

EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam:mm pk, sl tacky; CRT <2 sec; moderate tartar/staining
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: eupnic, clear lung sounds; no murmurs or arrhythmias
ABD: soft, nonpainful, slightly doughy, no palpable abnormalities
U/G: female, unable to check for spay scar due to behavior
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat; mild diffuse muscle wasting
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal:grossly normal
Assessment
1. h/o vomiting
2. underweight
Prognosis:good
Plan:
-recommend sedated abdominal radiographs, CBC/chem tomorrow, okay to do combo test and check for spay scar at that time
SURGERY:temp waiver due to vomiting/underweight
