Medical Summary DVM Intake Exam Findings History ~3yrs, female. Injured stray Subjective Observed Behavior – QAR, hissing, lunged when approached Evidence of Cruelty seen – No Evidence of Trauma seen – Yes – reported dragging hind end, limp hind end Objective P = wnl R = wnl BCS 4/9 EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted Oral Exam: Very mild dental tartar PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated, small soft bladder U/G: Female MSI: Non ambulatory in hind end, fecal and urine staining around hind end, no obvious wounds, possible inguinal hernia right side CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Rectal: No anal tone, mucoid diarrhea Assessment: Traumatic injury to hind end – R/O sacral nerve injury, possible SI luxation Plan: Sedated with telazol 0.1ml IM for exam and radiographs. Gave buprenex 0.24ml IM Keeping in medical for observation. Rec buprenex 0.24ml q12 x 3 days. Fair – guarded prognosis depending on return of function Radiographs: no obvious fractures or dislocations, pelvis, long bones and spine appear intact. Possible SI luxation
