**SAFE 07/03/16** SHY, NEUTERED GUY, OCHO IS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD!! OCHO came in with a group of strays and it is clear that he was owned at one time. Despite being nervous, a little patience had OCHO getting chin rubs!! He only has an EXPERIENCE rating because he needs someone to be patient and help him come into his own! OCHO was exposed to FELV cats and that is why he is listed. We do not know if OCHO actually has FELV…..as there is nothing currently indicated in his medical notes. That being said, if you are considering OCHO for your very own, he will need a check-up at a competent vet…..DON’T WAIT TO APPLY!! THESE 31 CATS NEED YOU NOW!! If you need help, email [email protected]

06/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Ocho does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Ocho does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Ocho retreats towards the back of the cage Reaction to touch: Ocho was apprehensive at first but allows petting with a slow approach and leans into chin rubs Try picking cat up: Ocho is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Ocho was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying apprehensive behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was displayed. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
