MOSCOW- a lovely 2 year old kitty! @ BACC **NEEDS LEG AMPUTATION**

Moscow A1070422- 2 years old, Spayed, Domestic Short Hair, Gray Tabby, Stray, 9.6 pounds
Medical:
Scan negative.
Age: 2 yo.
Sex: Female spayed.
BARH. MM pk. T=100.1
EENT: Eyes clr. Ears cln. NND. Oral – good.
MSI: BCS= 5/9, amb x 3. LRL – Open fx at tarsus, about 1 inch of tibula exposed, distal tip of tibula black and dirty, tissue around fx is starting to be necrotic and dark, tarsus and paw is swollen. foul odor noted.
CV: HR= 180, nsr, nm.
L: clr bilat
Abd: resists palpation which causes mov’t of RRL but NSF.
UG: F, spay scar seen, nipples small.
PLN: WNL.
A.) Open fracture distal RRL – infected.
- P) PPG 0.5 cc sq. Baytril 11 mg IM.
Buprenex SR 0.16 cc.
Eating well.
Contact New Hope. Cat will need amputation LRL and supportive post op tx for infection.
Condition: Stable but urgent.
Prognosis: Guarded to good.
