Miranda is a 7yr old DSH that was surrender due to the owner being hospitalized. Miranda was initially was found as a stray and kept as an in home pet. Miranda has never suffered any health issues or injuries. Her last visit to the vet was 2 years ago for a checkup.

How is this cat around strangers?
Around stranger Miranda is polite and approaching. When strangers enter the home, she approaches for greetings. At times she’ll rub her head against the leg of the unknown person for attention. If a stranger comes into the home that’s a bit loud and exciting ,she does hide initially however once the stranger attempts to interact with her she will approach with a loose body ,ready to interact.
How is this cat around children?
Miranda has lived in the home with an artistic teenage. Miranda was super affectionate and tolerate with the teenager. The previous owner stated that at times the teenager would be a bit rough with the animal however if Miranda was uncomfortable she was just run away. Miranda never expressed a behavior concern with the artistic Teen. She played gentle with the Teen.Miranda has also spent time with smaller children ages 5 years old and up. She was also respectful and tolerate.

Miranda isn’t bothered by the following: being picked up or held, being brushed or groomed, loud sounds or sudden movements, having her nails trimmed. She does get a bit fearful when being placed inside a carrier. Usually, the previous owner would put food inside the carrier and wait until she went inside.

Miranda was described as friendly, affectionate and sometimes shy. Miranda was fed wet cat food 2x a day. When Miranda wants to eat she’ll scratch at her bowl. Miranda does follow the owner throughout the home. Miranda isn’t very reactive towards toys however she does enjoy laser pointers. Miranda would be best in any home stated by the previous owner.
