Medical Summary Sex: Female Scan: Not scanned due to scanner malfunction Estimated age: 8 years as reported by previous owner Fleas: No flea dirt. Hx: Per previous owner, has been vomiting for about 1 month. Has not been to a vet recently. S: Quiet, calm, allows most handling but hisses when vaccinated O: BAR-H, BCS 8/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: No discharge OU, AU, nose. Mild tartar and gingivitis. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Slightly tense, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. Hypotrichosis and pink underlying skin in symmetrical pattern on ventral abdomen and inguinal region UG: Female A: 1. Hypotrichosis – R/O licking due to environmental stress, abdominal pain, other 2. One-month history of vomiting – R/O increased fur ingestion vs. primary GI disease vs. other cause of vomiting (liver, kidney or other disease) Short-term prognosis: Fair P: 1. Recommend placement with CBC/chemistry/UA as would be appropriate for a mature adult cat, and investigation of vomiting 2. Monitor for vomiting while in shelter; if this occurs, rec tx or further diagnostics 1088
