Max came into our care center as an Owner Surrender. Owner Reports: He enjoys being petted and having his back rubbed. Also enjoys playing with string and catnip! A Beginner Cat That Will Greet You At The Door When You Come Home!

BASIC INFORMATION
Max is a neutered, 13 year old brown tabby DSH. Max was a gift to the owner from a relative. The owner has had Max for two years and ever since he has been part of the family. The owner is surrendering Max due to having no time. Max has no known illness.
SOCIALIZATION
Max is friendly and outgoing when stranger enters the house. He enjoys being petted and rub on his back. He displays the same behavior around children. He is relaxed and respectful. Around the adults in the house he enjoys being petted and sometime engages in play. Max has lived with a neutered DSH cat. They have lived in harmony and enjoys playing with each other.
BEHAVIOR
Max enjoys baths, allows having his nails trimmed and brushing his coat. He struggle away when picked up and struggle going into the carrier. Max always uses his uncover litter box and his carpet scratching post. He has never had a bite or scratch history.
FOR NEW FAMILIES TO KNOW
Max is described as shy, confident and assertive. He enjoys long naps and looking out the window. His favorite toys are balls, strings and catnip. He rarely seeks attention but when the owner arrives home he greets her by the door. Max sleeps by the window or his cat bed. His favorite cat food is Low Fat, a small bowl, twice a day.
BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE
During intake Max was relaxed and friendly. He allowed being collard, scanned and photographed. He was gentle and enjoyed being petted.
