10/26/16 20:17 Miki is a four year old white and gray neutered domestic shorthair. He was surrendered by his owner due to owner moving into a place that does not accept pets as well as owner having allergies. Miki has been with his owner since he was a kitten and was given to owner by a friend. Miki has lived with two adults and a teenager. He is described as friendly around strangers and will come out and greet any visitors in the home. He will allow petting and would engage in gentle play with the family members. He has not been around cats or other dogs. Miki will meow and cry when in car rides. Miki is not bothered when bathed or when his nails are trimmed. Miki is fearful when held and will struggle and jump. Miki will walk into a carrier. Miki eats dry food Friskies brand and is fed three times a day. Miki has been kept only indoors and is litterbox trained. He uses an uncovered litterbox and crystals litterbox and. Miki uses a cardboard scratching post. Upon intake Miki was relaxed and had his paws tucked while in the carrier. Miki walked out the carrier and allowed petting. Cousnelor was able to collar, scan (negative) and photograph.

As per previous owner, Miki has lived with 2 adults and a teenager. He is described as friendly around strangers and will come out and greet any visitors in the home. Miki plays gently with adults and has never been around other cats or dogs. He doesn’t mind having his nails trimmed, is fearful when held and will struggle and jump away. Reaction to assessor: Miki was resting at the front of the kennel with her back facing the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Miki turns his head around and makes eye contact with the assessor. He leans forward to greet the assessor and remains calm at the front. Reaction to cage door opening: Miki is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Miki sniffs the assessor’s hand allows petting all over and leans in when rubbed on his cheeks. His movements are very slow but he appreciates attention and gives soft head butts when rubbed on his head. Reaction to being picked up: Miki was a bit tense when picked up but remains calm in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Average Miki interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
