LEO – A1076785
Gone - 6-12-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 06/12/16*** PERSONAL PROBLEMS LANDED LEO AND PAL CHESTER IN THE ACC – NOW LEO IS THE FIRST TO FACE DEATH DESPITE BEING PERFECTLY HEALTHY!! We are saddened by the amount of owners who think they can take their loyal pets and just dispose of them like trash in the local kill shelter – namely the ACC which has really shown no “CARE” at all for LEO and his pal CHESTER (A1076784) who is not listed tonight. You see, when their owner brought them in on June 9th, these poor cats were calm until they realized they were being left behind!! Once they showed any sign of being upset, the ACC just warehoused them, gave them no extra attention, comfort, or care to help calm them down or get them into the adoptions room. No, folks, LEO was left confused, upset, and sad and as you see from the photo, no special care was put into getting his picture where someone could see how handsome he is and want to adopt him. All we see here in the photo is a bad intake picture of a black cat in a dark carrier. LEO did solicit attention from the assessor but quickly growled at the fake plastic hand which was all that was needed to slap him with a NEW HOPE ONLY rating and fast track him to tonight’s euth list. LEO WAS A HOUSE PET!! He is a good boy!! He is someone’s loyal loving pet who was thrown away and is upset. All the shelter could say is yes – he is stressed – but let’s kill him anyway! IS THERE SOMEONE OUT THERE TO GIVE LEO THE HOME AND LOVE THAT HE DESERVES?? MAYBE INCLUDE BUDDY CHESTER? IF SO, HURRY AND EMAIL [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO – LEO ONLY HAS TIL NOON AND MAY BE THE FIRST WHEELED DOWN THAT COLD HALLWAY TO THE EUTH ROOM. ACT NOW!!

Reaction to touch: Leo avoids contact, growls and hisses at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Leo is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room.
