06/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Lemonade was calm and relaxed in her cubby. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lemonade stretches out her body and comes forward slowly to greet the assessor. She looks around and starts rubbing her head against the kennel bars. Reaction to cage door opening: Lemonade was calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Lemonade sniffs the assessors hand and slowly rubs up for attention. When pet along her back she whipped around quickly and focused on the assessor’s hand. She will lightly swat and bite when touched on her lower back. Reaction to being picked up: Lemonade was calm, relaxed and had a soft body when held. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Lemonade solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention or may play roughly. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children. 06/19/16 Reaction to assessor: Lemonade does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Lemonade comes to the front of cage showing curiousity in the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Lemonade remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Lemonade solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Lemon is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Beginner Lemonade was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Lemonade is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
