**SAFE 07/03/16** KOOL & FRIEND AID (not listed) WERE ABANDONED IN FRONT OF A HOME…..KOOL did not get along with the finder’s dog and so both cats came to the ACC. KOOL is two years old and played it COOL with the assessor. While she appreciated the petting, she was also fine on her own. Calico ladies tend to be on the independent side, so if you are looking for a cat companion that is not clingy….please consider KOOL!! SHE ONLY HAS UNTIL NOON TOMORROW SO DON’T WAIT TO APPLY!! THESE 31 CATS NEED YOU NOW!! If you need help, email [email protected]

06/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Kool was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Kool was lying on her blanket at the back of her carrier. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kool’s ears perk up and she becomes alert. Reaction to cage door opening: Kool remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Kool leans forward to sniff the assessor’s hand then slowly rises up. Her ears bend flat briefly then slowly leans in for attention. She doesn’t mind being pet, enjoys cheek rubs but doesn’t come forward. Behavior Determination: Experience Kool may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
