KAYLA is just 9 weeks old and likely was just wandering away from her mom or litter and is now afraid and fighting for her life! She needs an EXPERIENCED person with no kids! She needs to be your BABY for now! PLEASE, offer to FOSTER OR ADOPTER this black beauty and don’t let her young life be taken away!

05/23/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Kayla was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She allowed her finder to pick her up, but would attempt to flee afterwards. She was tense upon intake and was hissing during her initial medical exam, but she allowed handling once picked up. Reaction to Assessor: Kayla was by the back and was low on the ground. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kayla looks at the assessor with wide eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Kayla lowers her body even more and remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Kayla stress meows as the assessor extends her hand, and hisses when touched. She continues to hiss a few times, but she allows all petting and relaxes after a moment. She closes her eyes when petted, but will become alert with sudden and loud noises. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Kayla tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
