09/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Justine was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Justine was alert in his litter box with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Justine lip licks when spoken to then looks around at his surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Justine remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Justine rises up and shifts away when the assessor extends his hand out. He scratches the walls and quickly moves back and forth trying to escape. He has a tense body and tolerates petting briefly before hissing and trying to swat. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Justine tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
