09/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Tang was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Tang was curled up in the litter box with wide eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tang stress meows and lip licks when the assessor calls out his name. Reaction to cage door opening: Tang remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Tang lip licks and shifts away when the assessor extends his hand out. He stress meows with wide eyes and tolerates petting with a very slow approach. After a couple of soft passes he quickly runs forward and tries to flee the kennel. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Tang tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
