As per previous owner, around strangers Jolee is fearful and does not play with adults. Jolee has never been around any children, cats, or dogs so it is unknown how she will react to them. Jolee is described as shy with a medium activity level.
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Jolee and at the time she was in the litter box. Jolee sniffs hand and allows petting but appears nervous. Jolee is wary of surroundings but she warms up and tilts head in for rubs.

At the time of the assessment Jolee was displaying good behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, allows attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Jolee is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.

Basic Information:
Jolee is a 10 year old female domestic short hair cat who was surrendered du eto a family member having allergies.
Socialization:
Around strangers Jolee is fearful and does not play with adults. Jolee hasv never been around any children, cats, or dogs so it is unknown how she will react to them. Jolee has never bitten another person or animal.
Behavior:
Jolee will often hide in fear and is relaxed when riding in a car. Jolee’s previous owner did not attempt to give Jolee a bath, trim her nails, or pick up and hold her so it is unknwon how she will react to those events. Jolee doesn’t mind being placed in a carrier or being disturbed while she is resting.
For a New Family to Know:
Jolee is described as shy with a medium activity level. Jolee likes to be in her favorite spot at home and doesn’t play with toys. Jolee has been kept indoors only and eats both wet and dry food. Jolee is litter box trained and uses a hooded litter box with crystal litter. Jolee uses a scratching post made oof wood with bark.
Intake Behavior:
Jolee allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip, and take pictures with no signs of aggression.
