I am an unaltered female, blue Domestic Longhair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 8 weeks old.
I weigh 2 pounds.
I was found in NY 10455.
I have been at the shelter since Jun 08, 2017.
Medical
DVM Intake Exam
Estimated age: 8 weeks based on dentition and overall size
Microchip noted on Intake? Scanned negative
History : Stray
Subjective: Calm, eats during exam. Mews/yowls when abd palpated and during vx but then goes immediately back to eating.
Objective
BCS 5/9, MMs pink and moist
EENT: Eyes clear, no nasal discharge noted. Small regions of short fur/alopecia on lateral aspects of ears. Mild discharge AU.
Oral Exam: All deciduous teeth in
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Soft, non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: Female
MSI: Small crusty easily-epilating circular lesion on dorsal abdomen. Ambulatory x 4, skin free of fleas, no masses noted
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Wood’s lamp: ears and lesion on dorsum fluoresce strongly
Assessment:
1. Ringworm
2. Ear mites likely
Plan
1. Terbinafine 1.4 ml PO SID x30 days
2. Lime dips twice weekly
3. DTM culture in 2 weeks, 4 weeks etc – continue treatment until TWO DTMs are negative
4. Clean ears, Tresaderm AU BID x10 days.
Prognosis: Good
SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to ringworm.
