KNOWN HISTORY: Kibbles was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on her behavior in her previous home. She allowed all handling during the intake process. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Docile ENRICHMENT NOTES: Resting on bedding, soft eyes and body, dozing off. Leaned and arched into pets, closed eyes, lifted rear for butt scratches. Slow blinked after door closed. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Kibbles was resting by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kibbles wakes and the end of his tail flickers a bit, but he rubs his head against his bedding. Reaction to cage door opening: Kibbles remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Kibbles sniffs the assessor’s hand and head-butts lightly. She leans in for cheek rubs and begins to purr. When petting stops, she gently pats the assessor’s hand with her paw and leans her head forward for more attention. Reaction to pick up: Kibbles was a bit tense during pick up, but allows handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet, Affectionate BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Kibbles interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with an average amount of experience.
