Has a good appetite – ate wet kitten food

Hair Coat: well groomed
Declawed: no
Behavior: very friendly, allowed all handling
As per Dr. 1167, applied warm compress to hind end; to be kept in medical; required priority veterinary attention tomorrow AM

ABDOMINAL PALPATION REVEALED LARGE, COMPRESSIBLE FECAL BALL IN COLON – PATIENT APPEARS UNCOMFORTABLE ON PALPATION
LARGE FECAL MATTER ALSO PROTUDING FROM ANUS – UNABLE TO BE RELEASED. SMALL OPENING ON VENTRAL ASPECT OF RECTUM STARTED OOZING A SMALL AMOUNT OF LIQUID FECES.
PATIENT CONTINUES TO HAVE A STRONG APPETITE
A: CONSTIPATED/OBSTIPATED – R/O SECONDARY TO DIET VS. ATRESIA ANI (TYPE I) VS. OTHER
PX: GOOD
P: PATIENT WILL NEED TO BE SEDATED WITH AN ENEMA/MANUAL DEOBSTIPATION. RECOMMEND TO THEN START ON CANNED DIET +/- STOOL SOFTENER. WILL INFORM NEW HOPE OF NEED FOR PLACEMENT
