10/14/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Holly was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Holly was curled up at the back pressed up against the kennel wall. Reaction when softly spoken to: Holly turns her head towards the assessor, has wide eyes focused on all movements and starts to lip lick. Reaction to cage door opening: Holly remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Holly lip licks when the assessor approaches her and slowly buries her head in her blanket. She flinched when first touched, starts to breathe heavily and slowly backs away with her eyes fixated on the assessor’s movements. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Holly tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
