10/29/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Hipster was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Hipster was sitting in his litter box with his body lowered and eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Hipster slow blinks at the assessor and doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Hipster remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Hipster’s ears bend flat and he slowly leans away when the assessor extends his hand out. He flinches when touched, has a tense body and focuses on the assessor’s hand when pet along his back. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Hipster tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
