11/28/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/28/16 12:36 Harper A1098105 is a young black & white DSH kitten who was trapped at the finder’s residence along with her mom Hadley A1098107. The finder stated they brought them in due to their TNR Colony not accepting them and them not wanting to relocate the pair. Due to Hadley & Harper being trapped the finder didn’t handle them. During intake Harper was transferred into a cat carrier as she/he went in after the wet cat food. Due to her/his possible feral behaviors like Hadley I was unable to scan or take her/his picture on the backdrop. I did manage (with assistance) to remove Harper from the carrier (which he/she let us initially) to then place a collar on him/her but Harper was growling/yowling and trying to be let go of all the while his/her tail was flicking rapidly from side to side.

12/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Harper looks tense, lying down on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Harper remains stiff in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Harper flinches while he accepts the stroke with ears down to the side then retreats and hisses at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Harper tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
